TP Translations
Participant Information Sheet and Consent Form Translation
TP Translations provides human translation of participant information sheets, consent forms and related research documents, subject to language availability and project requirements.
A clear brief helps keep the translated documents consistent with the source material and the needs of the intended readers.
Documents to Include
Send the connected documents together where possible. These may include the participant information sheet, consent form, invitation, withdrawal information and relevant questionnaires.
Identify the source version and date of each document.
Tell Us About the Audience
Specify:
- Source and target languages.
- Intended country or community.
- Relevant language variants.
- The readers’ expected familiarity with the subject.
- Required terminology and formatting.
- Your deadline and review process.
Agree the Review Requirements
Tell us whether your institution requires additional proofreading, a separate review or a particular validation process. We will confirm which services can be provided and what the quotation includes.
Translation does not itself constitute ethics approval or establish that consent has been obtained.
Control Later Changes
If the source document changes, identify the revised sections and provide the new version. Avoid mixing passages from different versions without a clear record.
The research team remains responsible for approving the documents used with participants. The Health Research Authority provides guidance on participant information and seeking consent.
